RTTT - Race to the Top

There are four parts to the Greeneville City Schools Race to the Top plan. 

First, we plan to hire someone to help teachers drill down on the data available to them, so teachers can focus on what each student or group of students needs to succeed. 

 Second, we are hoping to maintain the virtual learner position to expand that program. 

Third, we are purchasing software for assessment and having staff development on this software so teachers will know how to use it.  This piece will serve two purposes.  It will help the teachers assess needs of their students and will give us another tool teachers can use as part of their evaluations (for that 15% after the 35% for TVAAS scores).

Fourth, we are going to have staff development in differentiated instruction. 

I have met with Dr. Ailshie and discussed this plan and will be signing it.
